Food Pantry support for Montclaire Elementary School Students.
First Sunday Food Drive: Take a Blue Bag, purchase requested grocery items and return to church on the first Sunday of each month to help stock the Food Pantry at Montclaire Elementary School.
Montclaire Food Packaging & Delivery
Thanks to the donations from Selwyn's First Food Sunday ongoining food drive, we are able to provide nutrition to 20 to 25 Montclaire families twice a month. A small team is needed to select, bag and deliver the food on the first and third Thursdays of each month.
The packaging takes about 45 minutes. Food is stored in the back storage room in the Bowman Building. It is pulled from there to assemble packages in the Fellowship Hall. To learn more and sign up, click here.
Sandwich-Making for our Homeless Neighbors
Operation Sandwich is a program established by the Roof Above (Merger between Urban Ministry and Men’s Shelter) to assist in feeding those in need. Helping to address hunger and homelessness are top Mission priorities at Selwyn Avenue PC.
If you are able, we are inviting families and/or groups to sign up in increments of 10 lunches on the following dates: August 17th and November 16th. Please prepare lunches in advance and drop off on the porch or church parking lot nearest the office between 9-10 am on the designated Saturday mornings. Questions, contact Chris Bahr or 704-299-0265.
